The Regent’s School Bangkok is an IB World School (www.ibo.org), it is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) (www.cois.org). The Regent’s School Bangkok is a member of CIS and of the Federation of British International Schools in South East Asia (FOBISSEA) (www.fobissea.org) and is also recognised by the Diplomatic Corps in Thailand for their children. The Regent’s School Bangkok is a Global Member of the prestigious Round Square Association, with its President, HM King Constantine and HRH Prince Andrew, Board Member, as patrons (www.roundsquare.org). All 80 Round Square schools around the world believe it is their obligation to produce well rounded leaders for our future global community. As Round Square schools, they instill six values at the heart of what their students do, both within and beyond the classroom. These six values are known as the ‘Six Pillars’; taken in the 'right' order, their first letters memorably and appropriately spell out the acronym ‘IDEALS’, which stands respectively for International awareness, Democracy, Environmental responsibility, Adventure, Leadership and Service to others. Our sense of achievement as a School comes from translating these IDEALS into practical realities as part of the curriculum.
Our Vision and Mission Statement
“Home of Well Rounded Leaders for future” The Regent’s School aims to provide a secure and caring co-educational day and boarding environment in which students develop the skills and values necessary to realise their potential and make a positive contribution to society. The School actively fosters academic excellence, respect for others’ opinion, international awareness, understanding of environmental issues, enjoyment of challenge, experience of leadership and commitment to the service of others.
We believe the key to our success lies in the quality of our teaching staff and their commitment to being excellent role models for all students. All our main teachers possess Qualified Teacher Status (‘QTS’). We place top priority on the recruitment of such teachers. Apart from foreign language teachers, all our teaching staff are native English speakers and nearly 90% are British. Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economics, Imperial College London, University College London, the Royal College of Music London, Stanford, MIT, Wharton (U of Penn), UC Berkeley, the National University of Singapore and Seoul National University are among the prestigious universities which have offered places to our recent graduates from both BKK and PTY campuses (in some cases with full scholarships).
